project

Artesa Design is the result of Mapa Design Brasil and Luiza Bomeny's desire to unite two passions: Brazil and Design, and foster the socio-economic development of artisan communities across the country.

Development began with the mapping of Brazilian biomes and the ancestral knowledge and practices of each region.
The project is a platform that aims to connect the best of Brazilian handicrafts to people who seek true luxury;   that tells stories and goes through handmade. All of this, remunerating artisans fairly, training and developing professionals, their families and the surrounding community.
Luiza Bomeny, art director and fashion and design consultant, envisioned a real chance to use all the work she has done to date, with an eye trained over the years, to bring about part of the changes she wants to see in the world. That's why he launched this project, which uses design as an element of social transformation.

"Design is able to give shape and vision

to build a better future"
